Brussels 2017 (Part Two)

We stayed in Brussels for three days before going back to London (our last stop).  It was only a 3-week trip but it seems like we left home for a long time.  Do you ever feel that way?  As much as I love travelling, I also look forward to going home.  And when I’m back on home soil, I want to go away #firstworldproblems LOL.

Cathedral of St Michael & St Gudula – I’m not religious but I love visiting churches.

So stunning inside – the architecture is out of this world!

Paris 2017 (Part Two)

Oh Paris, take me back now.  I love Europe so much.  I’m already planning another trip there next year so I can wine and dine again.  Paris is indeed so charming and getting around the city is quite easy.  I have no problem not speaking a word of French.  Most places, the Parisians speak English and they do not have the snooty attitude.  We are so thankful because we encountered very nice, friendly people on our trip.

La Grande Epicerie de Paris – Arguably the best gourmet market in Paris.  It has everything you desire – fresh produce, pastries, wine and a variety of comestibles.  They even have L’atelier Maison De La Truffe right in the middle of the market.  We had lunch there and it was one of my favourite meals in Paris.

I forgot the exact names of these cheeses, but we had a bit of everything from truffled brie to goat cheese.  They’re all so tasty!

Holy smokes, killing me with this ravioli with summer truffles!

Madrid 2017 (Part Two)

We spent a short three day trip to Madrid.  I wouldn’t mind adding one more day but we had two more cities to explore.  If I had more time, I would visit their museums.  Madrid is a vibrant city with friendly people.  Apparently, it is a sunny city (over 300 days of sunshine per year), so it’s perfect for those who loves hot weather or those who suffers from SAD.  I’m definitely the former.

No, we didn’t purposely co-ordinate our outfits, but it worked out fine. =)

We had dinner at Taberna El Sur.  This is our favourite Spanish restaurant.  We loved it so much we went twice within three days.  And of course, we always start dinner with sangrias.

Always down for Jamón Ibérico ham :)

Random chicken curry dish but boy was I ever happy to order this.

London 2017 (Part One)

I love travelling (minus the flight).  Seriously, I can never sleep and there’s nothing better to do than to watch movies.  Aside from that, seeing the world is so fun!

After I came back from LA.  I literally left after 2 days in town.  Lucky I’m those type who already packed way before.  Talking about packing, both my sisters claimed that I brought everything except the kitchen sink.  LMAO.  I’m the notorious over-packer.  What can I say?  I love clothes.  I love fashion.  Honestly, I packed enough clothes that can potentially last me for 3 months.  I consider this as a good habit, there are certain times I’m glad I bought those extra clothing especially undies. ;)

I tried to dress a little better when I travel.  It lifts my spirit and who knows, I might have a chance of an upgrade. ;)

We flew on British Airways and it was not as comfortable as I thought.  Knowing me, food is an important factor.  The meals at BA sucks.  Lucky we bought some extra snacks to fight the hunger.

We stayed at an Airbnb in London.  The apartment was spacious with a huge kitchen (which unfortunately we didn’t utilize).  We had plenty of room to put our stuff.  Although I wish the beds were more comfortable.

Last Bit of LA

I know my travel posts are primarily about food but honestly, there’s not much to photograph in Los Angeles.  Don’t get me wrong, I love taking pictures of architecture, landscapes, and people but nothing interesting on this trip.  Hope you enjoy this post and see you in my next post on Europe (I promise you there will be more action).

Visited my good friend in LA.  He lost a tremendous amount of weight.  Well, sh*t happens right?

We went to Sugarfish for lunch.  I’ve always wanted to try this restaurant since they have really good reviews.  Perhaps my expectations are high, I wasn’t blown away with the sushi but the quality was decent though.  I actually thought the handrolls at KazuNori were a lot tastier.

This fish was quite buttery though.
