My Collection: Vintage Bags

Remember how I told you I’m decluttering my clothes and downsizing my handbag collection.  I’m still in the process of doing it, and it might take me a while because I have SO MANY.  My goal is to have a carefully-curated collection of classic handbags.

I sold quite a few bags and I’m telling you, I don’t know what I was thinking back then.  I mean, if I didn’t buy all those bags, I would have enough money to put down payments on two houses!!  And you know how expensive the housing market it is in Vancouver.  Okay, okay, maybe I’m exaggerating, but definitely on one condo.  Hehe.

Anyway, there are some bags I have trouble parting and I’d like to share them with you today.  I like to refer to them as vintage since they are older than 10 years and also old enough to be in fashion again.  Well, you know what I mean.

This is a vintage Chanel bag I bought from Malleries.  I always wanted a beige colour Chanel in my collection.  I don’t use this bag very often but I do like it.  It is very roomy and it looks very good either dressed up or down.
As seen here, this bag works perfectly with this neutral outfit.

I love this Dior clutch.  I don’t remember where I bought this but I remember it wasn’t that expensive, maybe less than $150.  Honestly, I haven’t used this bag in a long time, but I’m not ready to sell it yet.

My Collection: Bucket Bags

It’s no secret I love handbags.  I’ve always been drawn to bags more than shoes.  On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d rate my bag love a 9.5.  There are some bags that I love and will never sell them, but there are also some I have no idea why I bought it in the first place.

I’m thinking about starting a new series displaying some of my favourite bags.  Please let me know if you will be interested in seeing them.

Okay, let’s get into it.  My current obsession is bucket bags – a trend which I don’t think I will ever get bored of.

This bag is sleek, minimal and comes in an array of colours.
They will be restocking in May, but I’m not planning to buy any.

IMG_2740{Michael Kors Miranda Bucket Bag}
An exquisite bucket bag and works beautifully as a cross body.
The lining is simply beautiful.

IMG_2733{Louis Vuitton Petit Noé Bag}
One of LV’s most iconic bag, although this is the petite, but it
doesn’t feel small.  It’s very roomy and fits nicely on my shoulder.
