We stayed in LA for two days and then headed to Las Vegas to catch the Mariah Carey’s concert (which was phenomenal btw). We stayed at the Palazzo. Originally, we only booked a regular room, but my husband couldn’t pass up on a great deal and upgraded to a suite. I noticed that you get a better deal in person than booking online.
We met up with my cousin (far right) for dinner at Lotus of Siam. The outside is deceiving, but the inside is extremely spacious. The food was INCREDIBLE, or because we’re hungry. Haha. Make sure you make a reservation because this place is SUPER busy.
If you’re a Hermes collector, you would know how hard it is to find these rodeo charms. I’m ELATED to find three at the Hermes store at Aria. Of course, I didn’t buy all of them. :)
The cereal milk serve at Milk Bar was alright, it was too milky for me.
I told you I love carousels and this one is so pretty!
I love trying new restaurants in Las Vegas. This is Yardbird at the Venetian. Although it’s a bit pricey, the food was legit.
Order this: a novel take on the classic sandwich – fried green tomato BLT. I really enjoyed this!
This was good too! Chicken ‘n’ Watermelon ‘n’ Waffles is a must have!
Who’s a fan of Mariah? I love her songs. Like many people, I fell in love with her since Vision of Love. I’m mesmerized by her voice. I highly recommend this concert to those who love Mariah. Yes, she may be excused of lip-syncing, but honestly, I can’t tell. The pop diva sang all her hits in chronological order. Every single song was good! But I can’t say much of her dance moves. Mariah BARELY (key word) shimmy her hips while performing her fast songs. She moves so slow. But then again, she’s not known for her dancing. It’s hilarious!
So this happened. I haven’t been clubbing in ages! I accompanied my sister to Omnia. I was pretty nervous since I was surrounded by people half my age. But hey, I love getting dressed up and you know what they say ‘what happened in Vegas stays in Vegas.’ ;)
Here’s the secret: I purposely packed this beautiful vibrant red jumpsuit on this trip (hoping that it will come to a good use).
A family photo in front of Cosmo’s famous chandeliers.
Our squad just posing in front of Wynn. By the way, it wasn’t as hot as I expected, it even rained at one point. Isn’t that unusual?
We have crappy buffets here in Vancouver, so Vegas is the closest to find the best buffets. I was disappointed with Wicked Spoon. Lucky we went before the dinner rush (before 5 pm) so the prices were cheaper.
The food was average and there wasn’t much variety. I prefer Bacchanal at Caesars Palace.
So, that’s a wrap-up. Enjoy the small clip of the concert below. Thanks for reading and talk to you guys next time!
