Remember how I told you I’m decluttering my clothes and downsizing my handbag collection. I’m still in the process of doing it, and it might take me a while because I have SO MANY. My goal is to have a carefully-curated collection of classic handbags.
I sold quite a few bags and I’m telling you, I don’t know what I was thinking back then. I mean, if I didn’t buy all those bags, I would have enough money to put down payments on two houses!! And you know how expensive the housing market it is in Vancouver. Okay, okay, maybe I’m exaggerating, but definitely on one condo. Hehe.
Anyway, there are some bags I have trouble parting and I’d like to share them with you today. I like to refer to them as vintage since they are older than 10 years and also old enough to be in fashion again. Well, you know what I mean.
This is a vintage Chanel bag I bought from Malleries. I always wanted a beige colour Chanel in my collection. I don’t use this bag very often but I do like it. It is very roomy and it looks very good either dressed up or down.
As seen here, this bag works perfectly with this neutral outfit.
I love this Dior clutch. I don’t remember where I bought this but I remember it wasn’t that expensive, maybe less than $150. Honestly, I haven’t used this bag in a long time, but I’m not ready to sell it yet.
Since it’s an older style, I thought it would look great with my Forever 21 crochet dress.
I bought this Celine bag on this website and I love using it when I used to work at the airport. It goes well with my uniform (made me feel like a flight attendant but only for a sec). Haha. But I think I’m looking for a new home for her since I don’t use this bag anymore.
This was one of my very first Louis Vuitton bags. I bought it maybe in the early 90s, so it’s about 25 years old. I remember it costs around $200. It is in perfect condition since I only used it a handful of times. Among all my LV bags, I can’t imagine myself selling this one, definitely a keeper.
I have a thing with totes. I have quite a few however, I have difficulty letting go of this one. I bought it in 2005 at Holt Renfrew because I was drawn to the colour. It looks kind of burgundy/brown and it is in immaculate condition.
If you look closely, you can see the “2005” on the bag. How cute is that?
So, did you enjoy the post today? Please let me know which bags you feel are keepers and ones that need a new home. I’m so excited to hear from you all. Have a great day!
